STEM North is a resource and information site for Science and STEAM resources for ASD-N. There are regular updates to Home Learning, Science/STEAM and PL Opportunities. You can also find all issues of the cross-curricular resource, ASD-N Weekly STEAM here.
In response to school closures, Think Indigenous founder, Chris Scribe, launched a Facebook group that provides daily online learning opportunities for children K-8 from Indigenous educators that have come together across Turtle Island.
Digital Mi'kmaq is a fun, interactive science-based educational learning resource for communities and their youth with outdoor learning opportunities for students of all ages to enjoy. Interwoven throughout, this Backyard Science themed series will also be sharing some of the very distinctive knowledge, words, stories and art of the Mi’kmaq People. This resource was designed to meet the educational standards of the Province’s Science Learning Outcomes.

This site offers Science project ideas in all Science disciplines. There are many projects that use readily available materials or low cost materials. Students should be encouraged to keep a journal or notebook. Students can also plan and carry out an independent investigation based on what they have available at home.

This site offers articles and hands-on activities (as well as online games and videos) related to the topics of Weather & Climate, Atmosphere, Water, Energy and Plants & Animals. The instructions could be downloaded and printed, or written out by hand. Students should be encouraged to keep a journal for their inquiry-based science activities.

Most activities only require household materials and have a 'What's going on?' section explaining the science behind each activity. The instructions could be downloaded, printed, or written out by hand. Students should be encouraged to keep a journal for their inquiry-based science activities.
