Netbooks Go Home At EWG!

Posted: January 17, 2011

The next phase of the “1:1 Netbook Pilot Project” is underway. Each student at Eleanor W. Graham Middle School in Rexton, presently has the use of a small laptop computer known as a netbook to use in class and take home each day for research and homework assignments. An information meeting for parents was held at EWG Middle School on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.  This meeting provided information to parents on Policy 311, NB Dept. of Education Acceptable Use of Technology, and procedures for the handling and use of the computers when students take them home. Students at EWG Middle School are fortunate to be part of the Department of Education 1:1 Netbook Pilot Project along with a number of selected schools throughout the province.  Research results for the 1 to 1 student to computer ratio, is encouraging and the Department and the District will be looking for feedback from the EWG school community.
