Rexton area schools have developed a wonderful partnership with the Rexton Lions Nursing Home. Each school has a program that allows students the opportunity to visit the residents and spend a little one on one time with them. Mrs. Warman, Community Schools Coordinator has been taking students from EWG Middle School weekly, after school, to visit the seniors for 7 years! They make crafts, decorate cookies, record stories, help with special events and on the occasion play a game of bingo.
Anglophone North prides itself on the many programs and volunteers it sees each week at all area schools throughout the district. Rexton Elementary is no exception and is very grateful for the wonderful support it receives with it's ELF Program. RES has many dedicated volunteers and one in particular is sending out a challenge to other Veterans across the province to get involved! Robert (Bob) LeGoff is past District Commander of Northumberland/Kent District and past President and member of the Richibucto Legion Branch #30.
A portion of our school’s nutrition programs are proudly funded by Breakfast for Learning. Thanks to their support, we are able to offer our students a healthy meal or snack during the school day. Breakfast for Learning is a national charity that is committed to ensuring students attend school well-nourished and ready to learn, giving them the best chance of success in life. In the 2016-2017 school year,
