The fair for the elementary grades 3 to 5, will be held at Gretna Green Elementary on March 23, and the fair for middle and high school students will be on March 29, at Dr. Losier Middle School. Both fairs will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. Projects can be entered in one of four categories: 1. Bio-technology, Health and Life Science, 2. Computing and Engineering, 3. Earth and Environmental Science, 4. Physical and Mathematical Science.
A school may submit up to 6 entries per school level, ie. Elementary, Middle and High. Middle and High school entries will be considered for promotion to the provincial regional science fair in Fredericton in April. Judging will be based on the scientific thought demonstrated, creativity, dramatic value and skill. A number of local schools will be holding their own school fairs. For more details and directions students should contact their science teachers.
