The World’s Tiniest Teachers were celebrated on
Monday, June 1st at the Miramichi Kincenter at our annual Roots of
Empathy Baby Celebration. This year 18 classrooms in our area experienced the
Roots of Empathy program. Over 300 children experienced first-hand the
opportunity to watch their visiting babies grow and learn while becoming more
caring and compassionate citizens. As Isaac Trevors, Grade 1 student at St.
Andrews Elementary told the group, “ when our baby smiles it warms my heart”.
School and community partners who helped make this program happen in our
region were honored along with our babies. It is our hope that all
children in the province of New Brunswick can experience this program in the
