ASD-N Celebrates Former Teacher's 100th Birthday

Posted: December 9, 2019

Superintendent Mark Donovan paid a visit last Friday to a former ASD-N teacher, Mary Rogers, to mark a very special occasion - Mary's 100th Birthday!

Mary was part of the very first graduating class at the former Campbellton High School, and went on to receive her BA from UNB in 1942, followed by her New Brunswick Teachers' Certificate.  She taught at Mary Gosnell Elementary, Chalmers Junior High School and Parkwood Heights Elementary over her career - always teaching Grade 5 classes (she says that is the best year!). Mary retired in 1985.  She reminisced about that the many changes she has seen over the years, and was looking forward to a celebration dinner with her family and friends.

Mary is pictured in the above photo with Superintendent Donovan and her daughter,  Sheila.

All the staff and students of ASD-N send best wishes to Mary on this special milestone!
