Dear students and families,

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is following reports of potential illegal labour action with CUPE groups.

We recognize families may question the impact of these labour actions. We are providing this communication to create an awareness in the event we experience a disruption in services in the education system.

While there is no indication of particular action happening and we continue to monitor the situation, further information will be provided in the event there is a disruption to services, such as school closures or bus cancellations.

Early learning and child care facilities located within a school will communicate with families directly regarding impacts to their services.

Please check your school district’s website and social media pages for the most up-todate information.
