Rexton area schools have developed a wonderful partnership with the Rexton Lions Nursing Home. Each school has a program that allows students the opportunity to visit the residents and spend a little one on one time with them. Mrs. Warman, Community Schools Coordinator has been taking students from EWG Middle School weekly, after school, to visit the seniors for 7 years! They make crafts, decorate cookies, record stories, help with special events and on the occasion play a game of  bingo. Students from RES and BLMS also visit the seniors as part of their curriculum and offer reading, singing, music and gardening. These relationships have developed into more than just a weekly part of everyone's life. Students have the opportunity to make a difference in this world, but what a wonderful contribution to give the gift of time.
