School Supply Drive a Huge Success!

Posted: September 7, 2018

Let's give some applause to the paws! Waterview Animal Hospital in Miramichi recently held its First Annual School Supply Drive during the month of August, and donated nearly $600 in school supplies to the Anglophone North School District.

Throughout August, Waterview Animal Hospital offered free nail trims to pets when their owners donated a school supply item. The hospital also donated all cash payments from their regular clients' nail trims, and then used that cash to purchase additional school supplies for the drive.

Carla McNeil of the Waterview Animal Hospital explained that they started the school supply drive to give back to the community and to help out lots of children and families as the school year starts up again.  The amount of donations they were able to raise far exceeded their expectations for their first year, and say that that they will be making it an annual event.

The school supplies that were collected will be distributed by ASD-N to students in need.

A big thank you to Waterview Animal Hospital - and to all the well manicured paws out there - for helping to support our students and their learning this school year!
