District 16 held its first annual Archery Tournament on Saturday, June 2nd at MVHS with more than 100 archers from area elementary, middle and high schools. In the elementary team division Croft finished 1st with a score of 1299, NSEE finished 2nd with a score of 1177 and Nelson Rural finished 3rd with 1111 points. There was a tie for top individual with Camryn Audet and Molly MacNeil from Croft both scoring an impressive 268 points. Fisher Bingham from Tabusintac finished 2nd with 267 and Dylan Dawson from Nelson Rural finished 3rd with a score of 265. In the middle school division, Nelson Rural took home first place with 1300 points while Millerton came in 2nd with 1221 points and NSEE followed in 3rd with 1066 points. Top scorers were Dylan Doyle with 280 points and Landon Audet with 272, both from Nelson Rural and Matt Schaefer from Tabusintac who finished 3rd with 266 points. The high school division finished the day with James M Hill taking home top prize with a score of 1043. NSER Team #1 finished in 2nd with 1025 points and NSER Team #2 finished in 3rd with 994 points. Top scorers for the high school division were Byron Godin from NSER with 240 points, Brittany Hayne from Blackville School with 237 points and Chaz Savoy from JMH with 235 points.
