School District 16 held its second annual Creative Use of Technology in Education (CUTE) Awards Wednesday evening, February 18th, 2009. The awards were held to recognize and celebrate the innovative and creative ways students and teachers make use of technology to enhance learning. Special guests with experience and expertise in various aspects of technology were invited to introduce the five finalists in thirteen categories and ask "the envelope please" before announcing the winners. The audience was entertained throughout the evening with singing and dancing performances by a number of talented students including songs from Tim Wingate and Jimmy Lingley.
