ASD-N Schools Show Support for Their Communities

Posted: November 26, 2014

Schools throughout ASD-N are planning for the Christmas season with such things as concerts, decorations and dances. High up on their lists of activities are events and projects that show consideration for the needs of others and that “giving” is an important part of the celebration. Following are some examples of these efforts. Schools in the Bathurst area are collecting food and other personal supplies to be delivered personally to needy local seniors, an annual event titled “The Spirit of Christmas”.  In Sunny Corner, North and South Esk Regional High School has selected four area charitable organizations and is collecting items for them from “Wish Lists”. In Miramichi, Dr. Losier Middle School has packed boxes of items to be sent to soldiers serving overseas who won’t be home with family over Christmas. Bonar Law Memorial School in Rexton is holding their annual Christmas food drive in support of the local food bank. The public is encouraged to support their local community’s schools in these efforts. Contact the schools in your area or visit their websites to find out if you can help.
