ASD-N Students Looking Into Their Past

Posted: March 22, 2015

Many ASD-N schools will soon be hosting annual Heritage Fairs, be sure to check out the plans for your local school. It is always impressive and inspiring to see the work, pride and enthusiasm displayed by our students for their past.  One such fair will be held at Harkins Middle School, Miramichi, on Wednesday April 22. Ian Baillie Primary School , Miramichi, has held their fair already as they were fortunate to be selected as the school to officially launch New Brunswick’s Heritage Week in early February. Special Guests at this event  included;  New Brunswick’s Lieutenant Governor the Honorable Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau, New Brunswick’s Minister of Tourism Heritage and Culture and MLA for Miramichi-Bay du Vin, the Honourable Bill Fraser and Lisa Harris MLA, Miramichi Bay-Neguac. Plans are underway in many schools across the district including Eleanor Graham Middle School and  Bonar Law Memorial School in Rexton.  Schools from all across ASD-N have been well represented at the district Heritage Fairs, held annually in Bathurst.
