District 16 students hosted 10 visiting Chinese students for a week in January in a program called Winter Camp. These students chose to visit Canada for a chance to improve their ability to speak English and explore opportunities to eventually further their education in this country. The 10 students visiting locally were part of a larger group of students visiting New Brunswick, all of whom stayed with host families for this portion of their visit. They were in Canada for a total of 20 days. The Winter Camp is a component of a long standing arrangement between the New Brunswick Department of Education and the Concord Colleges of China.
