A "Clean Sweep" for ASD-N

Enterprise Greater Moncton recently awarded several ASD-N student projects recognition and support for their entrepreneurship endeavors. The Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) was held May 15th in Moncton. Awarded first place in the Innovative Idea category was Nikki Renae Arsenault of Sugarloaf Senior High School (SSHS) for her project Butter Balm. Nikki received $3000.00 and mentorship. Also from SSHS, Cory Guitard, Justin d'Entremont & Hope Metallic (pictured here) who’s project NxtGen Smart Shower received 2nd place honours with a prize of $2000.00 and mentorship to help them develop their idea. In this same Category, ASD-N students completed a “sweep” with Savannah Carrier of Dalhousie High School winning 3rd place, $1000.00 and mentorship for her project Transmatic. In the YEC Little Leaders category Janet Ramsey’s class from Janeville Elementary school was one of three unranked provincial winners. Their project Popperazzi earned them a class party and mentorship. YEC is a province-wide competition that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit amongst New Brunswick youth and young adults.
