Earlier this fall Mr. Kevin Scully, physical education teacher at Eleanor W. Graham Middle School in Richibucto, was awarded the District 16 Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award by the New Brunswick Physical Education Society. Mr Scully provides a very diversified program for the students at the school, both curricular and extra-curricular. In a lengthy citation prepared by his school’s principal, Mr. Danny Scully, the extent of Kevin’s contribution to the well-being of the young people in the area is clearly illustrated.  His professionalism is shown both in and outside the classroom and his  principal states: “Kevin has created an atmosphere and culture at the Eleanor W. Graham Middle School where students and teachers have embraced daily physical education as a way of life and a part of our understood and accepted culture.” His personal active lifestyle reflects and reinforces his professional values and through his work in the community as well as in the school, Mr. Scully is making a significant contribution towards the development of healthy active lifestyles for the area's youth.
