This is the slogan that was put into practice on Monday October 24th by many schools in District 16 to mark School Library Day which was being observed across Canada. The D.E.A.R. project was held to highlight the importance of literacy and the role that school libraries have in its development. In this “electronic age ” libraries play an increasingly important role in helping students determine how and where to find quality reading material and accurate well balanced information.
