On February 12th
Jacquet River School completed its first session of the ELF Program. Four children participated and their teachers were very pleased with their progress. A second
session of the program is being planned following March break. The program
organizers felt very fortunate to find volunteers through a partnership with
the New Brunswick Community College in Belledune. Four students attending the local
campus were able to come and volunteer as part of their day. Many thanks to Tracy Culligan, coordinator of
the NBCC site in Belledune, and the students who made this possible. For
more information about the ELF Program and becoming a volunteer, please visit
their website at Elementary Literacy ELF Program .
