Gretna Green Elementary School students have produced a promotional video in partnership with the New Brunswick Provincial Capital Commission which was formally unveiled at a ceremony at the school on June 17th. The message in the video encourages teachers and students in New Brunswick schools to participate in a program called Capital Encounters. This program provides travel subsidies and curriculum material to help students learn about the capital region and learn about provincial governance. Lee Ellen Pottie, executive director of the Provincial Capital Commission congratulated the team of Gretna Green students and their teacher, Mr. Keith Comeau, on their creation of the video. The Gretna Green Times news team recorded the video launch ceremony including interviews, for broadcast on the schools web site.
