The after-school program at Eleanor W. Graham Middle School in Richibucto has received a grant of $30 000 from RBC. The after-school program has been established to give students an opportunity to try a variety of activities that include among others: sports, music and visual arts. Reducing the lunch break to 20 minutes makes room in the school's time table for the highly regarded program. Criteria for the RBC award requires the program to be structured and supervised with a focus on safety, social skills and self-esteem. Attending the presentation ceremony were RBC's regional vice president for Northern New Brunswick, Mr. Claude Desserault, Canadian Olympic Athlete Richard Dalton (Canoeist) and the RBC lion mascot. Speaking to an appreciative audience at a school assembly principal Mr. Danny Scully thanked RBC explaining what a tremendous benefit the after-school program is to the students at EWG.
