Posted: November 30, 2015

The Hour of Code is a great way to expose our students to computer programing – a 21st century Super Hero power!  With only 07 days before the Hour of Code kicks off on December 7th we encourage you to register your event at www.hourofcode.com/ca, before the Dec 6th cut-off!  In partnership with Brilliant Labs, we’re offering a few prizes to some New Brunswick classrooms!  Not only can you earn iTunes and Amazon gift cards from Code.org, New Brunswick teachers can now win ipad Minis, coding projects, and a grand prize of an all-expenses paid trip for their students to attend CodeCamp in May! If you’re not sure what coding is, or where to start to host an Hour of Code event, Brilliant Labs’ Jacob Lingley has created an online tutorial that will help guide teachers interested in finding out more about coding and hosting an Hour of Code event. http://brilliantlabs.com/why-hour-of-code-a-teachers-guide-to-event-host... Google Hangouts events are taking place at 3:45 on December 2nd and 3rd should teachers have any questions about the Hour of Code. Brilliant Labs representatives are also available to visit and support your school or classroom during the Hour of Code! Be sure to register before mid-night December 06th.
