Jacquet River School (JRS) is one of several ASD-N schools presently holding its second annual “Spring Cleaning with Meaning” clothing drive in partnership with the New-Brunswick Association of Community Living (NBACL). This campaign helps bring awareness of the support provided by this agency for people with intellectual disabilities in the region and at the same time supports JRS and the other Anglophone North School District locations participating, which include Tide Head School, Janeville Elementary and the Bathurst Education Center on Munro Street. How does it work? Jacquet River School will collect bags of used clothing from the community and NBACL will make a monetary contribution to the school for each bag. The money received will then be used to support programs in the school. Last year over 100 bags were donated by community members to the JRS’s portion of the campaign, a number the organizers intend to surpass this year. See the attachment below for more information about how you can participate in this initiative. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
