Students from the Lord Beaverbrook School and Tide Head School recently gathered together to enjoy a morning of outdoor activities at Rotary Field in Campbellton. This community schools event included over 230 students, teachers, administrators, parent volunteers, as well as students volunteers from Sugarloaf Senior High School. Mr. Denis Boudreau, the LBS Physical Education teacher, who organized the event, said “It was wonderful to see all the students being physically active and enjoying the outdoors as they were engaged in the activities.” Community education partners supported the event with: the donation of a healthy snack for all of the students by Luc Couturier, owner of Provigo in Pointe-à-la-Croix; the provision of water bottles from the Friends of LBS committee; the City of Campbellton gaving access to the Rotary Field, and Dixie Lee Maritimes supplied their water coolers.
