Many District 16 students from grades 4 to 9 will be displaying the results of their curiosity of history at the annual Heritage Fair to be held at the Douglastown Community Center on Thursday May 13th. Having presented their work at their schools and promoted to the District Showcase, the young historians, approximately 100 in number, will be eligible for 14 awards in a variety of categories and promotion to the Provincial Heritage Showcase at Village Historique Acadien, in late June. Among the special invited guests is the Honourable Graydon Nicholas, Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick. The public is invited to view the presentations and talk to the students about their interest in their chosen topic. Awards will be presented in the afternoon of the 13th, starting at 1:15.
