Roots of Empathy Celebrates Its Teachers

Posted: June 13, 2013

The “Worlds Youngest Teachers” were honored on Monday, June 10th at the annual Baby Celebration for Roots of Empathy program. The Beaverbrook Kincenter was the place to be when the babies who participated in the program in the Anglophone North School District in 2011-2013 gathered along with their parents and various community supporters. Community support for this program has enabled programs to be held in the district since 2005. This year 12 babies visited classrooms in 11schools enabling the students to see first hand the growth and development of the baby, to learn about temperament and to become more caring citizens of tomorrow through the development of empathy.  Roots of Empathy is an evidenced based program whose mission is to build caring, peaceful, and civil societies through the development of empathy in children and adults.
