Scientific Work Receives Recognition

  At the River Valley Regional Science Fair held yesterday at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton Campus, a number of ASD-N middle school students were able to share their interest in science with students from other parts of the province and at the same time find out about their interests. As well their projects were reviewed by judges and many of them received special recognition. Three of nine prizes at the Bronze level and three of six prizes at the Silver level were awarded to ASD-N students. Bronze: “It's No Yolk!” by Abigail Smith of Harkins Middle School;“Menace Invisible” by Hanna Dunn and Megan Moran of Dr. Losier Middle School and “Recyclable Energy” by Anna Savoie of North & South Esk Regional High School.Silver: “Loaded Diaper” by Terry Lavigne of Superior Middle School;“What The Beep?" by Maggie Gibson of Dr. Losier Middle School and “Paper Chromatography” by Logan Geraghty of Campbellton Middle School. fairs.
