Posted: April 22, 2015

The Miramichi Regional Music Festival was held from April  13th through 16th with many ASD-N students participating in a wide variety of disciplines. The students performed as members of school choirs, school bands, and school folk and square dance ensembles.  There were of course solo performances in singing, playing woodwind and stringed instruments as well as piano. The festival included performances in speech art also.  Through the week the adjudicators selected a number of performances for the “Showcase of Talent” which was held at James M. Hill High School on Saturday April 18th after which medals and cash prizes were presented. ASD-N schools participating in the choir, band and dance categories included: Ian Baillie Primary; Croft, Gretna Green and St. Andrews elementary schools; Blackville School; Harkins Middle School and Miramichi Valle High School.  For more information visit New Brunswick Federation of Music Festivals .
