Spring Cleaning with Meaning

Posted: April 23, 2014

This Friday and Saturday, April 25th and 26th, Tide Head School will be receiving any used clothing that members of the community might come across as they “spring clean” and no longer need. This  project is part of a broader effort across ASD-N.  The school will be passing these donations on to the New Brunswick Association for Community Living as part of latter’s fund raising efforts. Tide Head School will in turn receive a portion of the funds which will be spent on literacy initiatives. If you are interested bagged items can be dropped off at the school on Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or Saturday morning between 9:00 a.m. and noon. The school is located at 232 Restigouche Drive, Tide Head.  For those in the Bathurst area, clothes can be dropped off at the Bathurst Education Centre, 155 Munro Street, Bathurst,  also on Saturday morning  April 26th, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  The clothing campaign started in the district last fall in the Rexton area as well as in the Miramichi region with all funds raised going towards literacy initiatives in district schools.
