United Commercial Travelers 827 is proud to announce that Veda Haggarty, a student at the time at Parkwood Heights Elementary School, Bathurst, placed second in the North American international UCT 2011-2012 Safety Poster Contest. Her theme centered on the importance of wearing a helmet in a variety of recreational activities. Having previously won at the local and provincial level her second place international award was announced at the UCT’s Supreme Convention in Calgary Alberta in early summer. Veda is the daughter of Amanda Haggarty and Claude Doucet and presently attends classes at Superior Middle School.
