The second of three Turnaround Achievement Awards ceremonies was held in Miramichi on May 27th at the Rodd Miramichi River Hotel. The ceremony for the Campbellton and Dalhousie area was held earlier this month and the Bathurst area ceremony is scheduled for May 28th. Twenty-six area students were recognized Tuesday evening for their accomplishment in overcoming obstacles in their lives that interfered with their progress. More than 200 people attended the gala event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chatham and Beaubear Credit Union.  Guest Speaker, Mr. Bruce Rendell, Chatham Rotary President, spoke about the work of the club in the community and congratulated the evening’s guests of honour, the students. Appreciation was expressed also to the Culinary Technology students from MVHS and JMH for their work preparing creative and personalized table centerpieces.
