Success for SSHS's Young Entrepreneurs!

Four Sugarloaf Senior High School students were recently recognized for entrepreneurial initiatives in the provincial Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge organized by Enterprise Greater Moncton. Winning first prize were Conrad Bernard, Brandon Goodfellow and Trevor Price for their project to detect when a hockey puck completely crosses a goal line. The award was accompanied with a $3 000.00 prize. Jonathan Boudreau, won third place and $1 000.00 for his innovation of combining chewing gum with a throat lozenge ingredients for relief of a sore throat. The projects were created as part of the Entrepreneurship 110 taught at the school by Ms Shelly Chandler and the awards were announced from amongst six finalists at a ceremony in Moncton on May 23rd.
