On Thursday May 17th, twenty-six students from School District 16 will be honoured for their efforts at school. The district's annual Turnaround Achievement Awards celebrate students who have shown perseverance and commitment in making a determined effort to "turn around" their personal or scholastic life. The banquet will held at the Rodd Miramichi River Lodge. According to Andrew Clark, Director of Education for District 16, the Turnaround recipients serve as examples to other students of the fact that no matter what stands in the way of a productive school year, it can be overcome using determination and persistence.
