Saturday was an exciting day in Campbellton, as Lord Beaverbrook Elementary played host to the ASD-N District Chess Tournament for North Shore area schools. It was the first time having the District tourney take place in Campbellton and the event proved to be a great success.
Students from Grades 3-8 turned out in large numbers for hours of intense, strategic chess action. At the end of the day, top finishers were identified to represent ASD-N at the upcoming Provincial Chess Tournament taking place at Millidgeville North School in Saint John on April 13th.
