Many district school students observed Remembrance Day on Friday Nov. 9th at ceremonies held at their respective schools. Their participation was not limited to attending the hour long programs. Several weeks of effort went into choir rehearsals, preparation of audio-visual presentations and the making of decorations, providing ample time to reflect. Former members of Canada's armed forces, including WW II and Korean War veterans, attended and were made to feel welcome. Ceremonies included of course the laying of wreaths in memory of those who lost their lives and the observance of a minute of silence. For photos visit Students Remember .
