Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) is presenting a concert Tuesday, February 19th at 7:30
p.m. to which school students are very welcome to attend with free admission.
JMC is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes opportunities for
young Canadians to perform and enjoy classical music. The local branch, JMC –
Miramichi, hosts four concerts a season performed by up-and-coming young
professional musicians who tour Eastern Canada. The performances, held at Carrefour Beausoleil, are always delightful.
This Tuesday the performers are a quartet of recorder players, known as a “Recorder
Consort”, their group name is Flute
Alors and their concert is titled Kaleidoscope.
The
program includes music by Bach, Vivaldi, Purcell as well as some contemporary
music and jazz. Tickets for adults are available at the door and cost $20.00.
Students under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
