Two ASD-N teachers received provincial honours recently. Ms Barbara Bourque, a math mentor based in the Bathurst area and Ms Melissa Esty, resource and methods teacher at North and South Esk Elementary School in Sunny Corner, received the Minister’s Excellence in Teaching Award at a ceremony in Fredericton on Saturday November 16th, 2013. The awards, presented by Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Marie-Claude Blais, are given to a small number of educators across the province to pay tribute to those who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment, great skill and strong leadership in their work.
