The principal of Superior Middle School in Bathurst, Kathy Grebenc, was
recently awarded the Vince
Sunderland Memorial Award for Outstanding Educational Leadership. This award is
presented by the Department of Education to a member of the New Brunswick
Teachers’ Association who, as a school administrator, shows outstanding
leadership qualities. These leadership qualities are demonstrated in areas such
as curriculum delivery and assessment and excellent interpersonal skills as
well as in the creation of a school climate that fosters community involvement and
a safe and inviting learning environment. Ms. Grebenc, on the right, is shown
receiving the award from former ASD-N Superintendent Nancy Boucher, presently NB’s
Assistant Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development.
