Posted: March 13, 2015

The first of three ASD-N Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fairs was held on Wednesday last at Superior Middle School in Bathurst. Thirty participants from Campbellton Middle School, Dalhousie Middle School, Jacquet River School and Superior Middle School displayed very well prepared projects for judging and seemed delighted and proud to explain their work that represented a diversity of interests. Twelve of the projects were selected to participate in the River Valley Regional Science Fair in Fredericton on April 17th, 2015. Three projects were singled out for awards on Wednesday.  Hannah Young’s project, “Neutralize Your Thinking”, was awarded the bronze medal.  Terry Lavigne’s  project, “Cover Up,  Don’t Get Burned”, was awarded the silver medal.  Madison Nicol’s project, “Spicy Icy”, was awarded the gold medal.  The three medalists are students at Superior Middle School.
