Little Free Library at LBS, Receives Support From Afar!

Posted: April 2, 2015

Last spring students at Lord Beaverbrook School (LBS) launched a community wide literacy initiative, when they became the stewards of the Little Free Library, Charter # 15809.  LBS’s Little Free Library is a special “book-house” as it belongs to everyone and anyone may use it; it is a community resource and a way for students to give back to their neighbors.       When the Little Library project was launched last spring, an article on the ASD-N’s website caught Anna Carpentier-Beauline attention.   Ms. Carpentier-Beauline works for Solutions Scolaires, an educational supplies company in Saint-Laurent, QC.  She was so impressed with this initiative that she contacted LBS and made a financial contribution towards new books for their Little Free Library book-house.      Students and staff at LBS are extremely grateful for this donation and they will now be able to stock their Little Free Library with a selection of brand new books this coming spring!      The Little Free Library will be situated outside the main entrance of Lord Beaverbrook School,  113 Arran Street,  Campbellton N.B. again this year for the summer months.   To learn more about the story behind the Little Free Library movement visit:  Little Free Library . “Little Free Library books are always a gift- Never for sale!”
