I was able to reach, and in fact, exceed my goal of visiting schools (combination of pop-ins and longer visits) for the month of September. Visiting schools and talking with administrators, staff and students keeps me grounded in what is happening in classrooms.  This is the grassroots of the education system and what happens in classrooms and schools is key to the success of our students.  I look forward to continuing to visit schools to see the great work that is happening.

I also hope that staff members are taking the time to share their own growth goals with colleagues.  We must strive to always improve ourselves and find ways to grow.  Learning doesn't stop once you finish school and it is important that we make this visible to our students.  This keeps us accountable and on track.
