We are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual ASD-N Take Me Outside Day Challenge to be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Anglophone North School District teachers and administrators are encouraged to bring students outdoors for a lesson or activity consisting of a minimum of 30 minutes.
Last year during our very first ASD-N Take Me Outside Challenge Day we were overwhelmed by the support shown for this initiative from K-12 classes across the district. In all we had 32 schools registered, including First Nation schools and Alternative Education sites, with hundreds of photos and videos submitted and/or posted online.
Once again, we will be offering up some fantastic prizes that participants will have an opportunity to win including:
1. Two Outdoor Adventure Excursions for an entire class (Bathurst/Restigouche & Miramichi/Rexton), hosted by ASD-N Phys Ed Leads.
2. GoPro Camera Packages for a class (Bathurst/Restigouche & Miramichi/Rexton)
3. Four Outdoor Sport & Activity Packages
All you need to do to be eligible to win is: register as a school or you can register your class as a teacher by visiting the TMO website http://takemeoutside.ca . Once you have registered just send ASD-N Phys Ed Lead Jim Watters an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will put you in for the draw. Make sure to visit http://asd-n.nbed.nb.ca/other/take-me-outside for lesson plan ideas. Please post pictures and videos from the day on your school websites and teacher pages. If you upload any pictures or videos to social media, please remember to use the hashtag #TMOASDN.
