ASD-N Take Me Outside Day 2020

Posted: October 19, 2020

We are pleased to announce our 3rd Annual ASD-N Take Me Outside Day Challenge to be held this Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Anglophone North School District teachers and administrators are encouraged to bring students outdoors for a lesson or activity consisting of a minimum of 30 minutes. This can be a class from any subject area and does not necessarily have to be Phys Ed. If you are unable to bring students outside on Wednesday due to inclement weather, blended learning cohorts, etc., then feel free to select a day this week that is convenient for you.

In the past two years, we have been overwhelmed by the support shown for this initiative from K-12 classes across the district. Last year we had over 30 schools registered, including First Nation schools and Alternative Education sites, with hundreds of photos and videos submitted and/or posted online. We will once again be offering a chance to win great prizes for those who participate. These prizes will be announced shortly and may look a little different then in past years, due to Covid-19 Restrictions.

All you need to do to be eligible to win is: register as a school or you can register your class as a teacher by visiting the Take Me Outside Day website at https://takemeoutside.ca/tmoday/

Once you have registered you can enter for our District prize draw on the following form:https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=318rTdLEEUmHCWjML0Zcn0ddVP8s0OlKlGg0AWGQychUM1NVTlVPVzQ1M0wxVFpPTEhIR1lMSjZBVS4u .
