On April 20, 2020 ASRNB (Aboriginal Sport and Recreation New Brunswick) began posting daily challenges with different themes, this was open to students in NB aged 12-18. Participants sent in pictures, drawings, videos etc, showing how they completed the challenge. A team from ASRNB then chose the winners based on various criteria. After the challenges were completed there was a major weekend Scavenger Hunt Challenge where the winners from the previous challenges qualified to participate in the weekend challenge. Students used their creative talents to then submit their findings. From the initial challenges students won various items from sports gift certificates to different types of sports equipment. Winners from DRHS included Nora Harquail, Mallory & Gerogia LaBillois, Marissa Mallais, and Tamika Gideon. Two of the top three winners from the Scavenger Hunt are DRHS students. 1st place winner was grade 7 student Tamika Gideon who won a package called "Blue Jays / Maple Leaf" winners weekend in Toronto with her choice to attend a hockey or baseball game. Tamika created a video story with her Scavenger Hunt pictures. 2nd place winner was grade 9 student Marissa Mallais who won a stand up paddle board and paddle.
