At Home Learning: Water Filtration STEAM Challenge

Posted: May 29, 2020

Alex and Cathryn went on a field trip with their mom to collect water for the water filtration STEAM challenge. They ventured to such places as Tide Head Beach, Christopher Brook and the Charlo Dam in order to collect various water samples to test their filters. They then used a combination of materials including cut up socks and rocks (rhyming challenge!) in order to create their water filter. They began with researching various filtration methods and came up with a design they thought would work best. The tested the various water samples they collected. In the attached photos, it is evident that their filtration system was successful! A huge shoutout to Alex and Cathryn. They've worked on every single STEAM challenge we've posted and have been doing tremendous work!
