MIRAMICHI, October 2, 2022 – Anglophone North School District recently welcomed a delegation of administrators from the Académie de Créteil in France on October 5-7. The visit to New Brunswick was arranged by the French Embassy, and is a result of the partnership that has been forged between the two educational bodies.
Anglophone North School District will be leading the North Shore Legacy Tour to Normandy in 2024. The 12 day trip will follow in the footsteps of the North Shore Regiment in WWII, and arrive in Normandy to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
This upcoming trip is open to ASD-N students in grades 9-12 in the 2023-2024 school year. In addition, members of the general public are also invited to join the tour.
We are very pleased to announce our 5th Annual ASD-N Take Me Outside Day Challenge to be held October 17-21, 2022. Anglophone North School District teachers and administrators are encouraged to take students outdoors for a lesson or activity consisting of a minimum of 30 minutes.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is an opportunity for all of us to come together in the spirit of reconciliation, to honour the residential school survivors and their families, and to remember those who did not return home.
The provincial government has declared September 30 a provincial holiday in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the lost children and survivors of the residential school system, as well as their families and communities.
For the first time since June 2019, Anglophone North School District offered District wide Track and Field meets for Grades 3-8. Middle School events were held in Campbellton at the UCT Oval (June 1) and in Miramichi at the JMH Track (June 8). These were followed by Elementary events in Campbellton on June 15 and in Miramichi on June 20 and 21. Even more exciting for Elementary students was that it was the first time participating for all students from Grades 3-5
