September 30th was a historic day at Nelson Rural, as the school raised the Mi'kmaq Grand Council Flag.  The flag will now fly permanently, joining Sugarloaf Senior High School and Rexton Elementary School in ASD-N.

ASD-N will be participating in Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.  Many classes will be learning about the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the history that shaped it.

Students and staff will be encouraged to wear an orange shirt to honour Indian Residential School Survivors.  Be sure to take photos and tag those pictures using #ASDNOrangeShirtDay.

Kindergarten registrations in Anglophone School District North will be occurring in the coming weeks. Registrations this year will be completed by following COVID-19 health protocols. If your child will begin Kindergarten in September 2021, please follow these steps to register:
  •  Contact your community school by telephone, between September 24 and October 9, to make an appointment for a face-to-face meeting at the school.
  •  Face-to-face registration appointments will occur from October 13-23 between 8:30 a.m.
