Today, May 5th, is National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women. It is also known as Red Dress Day, the red dresses a symbol for those missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and for raising awareness of the disproportionate rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls in Canada.
What originally started out as an event to offset the cancellation of in person Science Fairs during the Covid-19 pandemic, NB Science Week has taken on a life of its own. In only its 2nd year of existence, the number of session offerings, presenters, and participating classes has grown substantially.

NB Science Week kicked off on Monday, and it promises week-long learning and fun for everyone!
NB Science Week 2021 had 39 live, virtual, interactive and inspirational, Science sessions designed around the theme of inspiring a love for Science and recognizing its importance. Over 800 NB classes participated, reaching nearly 20,000 students.
The Government of New Brunswick will be lifting all remaining COVID-19 measures on Monday, March 14th.
