Dialogue New Brunswick recently launched The 2020-2021 Social Cohesion Lab which aims to assist youth ages 15-30 “to develop projects in our various communities in New Brunswick that are related to social cohesion, affecting economic, cultural, social and political aspects.” The cohort of 20 youth that have been selected has been announced and Anglophone North School District is well represented with 8 youth coming from our district.

Students throughout ASD-N are finding ways to spread kindness and joy, and help their communities during these challenging times.

Two examples of that are sisters Elianna and Sophia Pitre. Elianna is a Grade 8 student at Superior Middle School and Sophia is in Grade 5 at Terry Fox Elementary.

The Government of New Brunswick has moved Zone 1 into the Orange Recovery Phase, effective at midnight on November 19th. Because some ASD-N schools are located within this zone, and we know that some staff and students travel from one zone into another, we are sharing this updated information:

Anglophone North School DIstrict, City of Miramichi and the Miramichi Police Force issued a joint statement earlier this afternoon.

In the letter, the community leaders thanked all citizens who have showed their support and sent messages of condolence following another terrible loss in the community.
