The BLMS track and field team won their 13th consecutive NBIAA AA Provincial Championship on Saturday, June 2nd. Their top performers were Cole Augustine who won gold in the Junior boys 100m hurdles and bronze in the 300m hurdles. Michael Mitton won silver in both the senior boys 110m and 400m hurdles, a bronze in the 800m and a bronze in the 4x400m relay along with teammates Parker Campbell, Chayson Levi and Josh Wylie who also won a bronze in the 400m hurdles. Sabreigh Fletcher took home a silver in the senior girls high jump and a bronze in discus.

In collaboration with local First Nation communities, ASD-N hosted 3 multi school Mawi’omis (Mi’kmaq word for gathering) in three locations this past week. Tuesday, May 29 at Bathurst High School with all schools in the Bathurst area attending. Thursday, May 31 was an outdoor event at the beautiful Aboriginal Heritage Garden in Eel River Bar First Nation for all the schools in the Dalhousie region.

The Turnaround Awards Banquet for the Chaleur Area Schools in Anglophone North School District was held on June 5th at the Atlantic Host in which six recipients were recognized.

Discover 2018 promised to be an exciting event featuring an interactive showcase of innovative teaching & learning currently taking place throughout Anglophone North School District and it certainly did not disappoint. Hundreds of students, teachers, administrators and parents, from Campbellton to Rexton, participated in this fun-filled and very engaging day.

Discover 2018 promises to be a combination of an amusement park meets the CUTE Awards at Max Aitken Academy on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM as Anglophone North School District will proudly host Discover 2018: Journey into Innovation. This exciting event will be an interactive showcase of innovative teaching and learning currently taking place throughout our District. 
 
From Builder Boulevard to Planet Parkway or Fantasy Freeway to the Fitness Fun Zone, there promises to be something for everyone.

ASD-N would like to congratulate all the students who participated in the 32nd annual provincial “Concours d’art oratoire” on Saturday, May 5 at the Université de Moncton. Thirty students from our district from grades 6 to 8 went to compete. The following students were in the top of their field! Félicitations à tous!
