Adventures In Miramichi (AIM) is offering two camps in July. The Day Camp is for students 10 to 15 years old and is being held from July 14th to 18th . Visit Adventure Camp. There will be a Leadership Camp from July 6th to 11th for students 15 to 17 years  old. Visit Leadership Camp.

The New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletics Association (NBIAA) recently presented four ASD-N students with the Raymond Légère Sportsmanship Award. These students were recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship throughout the school year while participating in NBIAA sports: Zachery Parker of Sugarloaf Senior High School in Campbellton, Sydney MacDonald and Jonah McGrath of Miramichi Valley High School and Brodie Theriault of Bonar Law Memorial School in Rexton.

Sugarloaf Senior High School hosted RCMP Police Week on May 14th and 15th. Police Week began in Canada in 1970 as a way to connect with communities and increase awareness about the services that police provide. Sugarloaf was extremely lucky to be selected as a host to the RCMP Helicopter on May 14th. This helicopter serves the 4 Atlantic Provinces and the students and staff were applauding as the pilots had a meet and greet with the students and staff.

On Tuesday May 6th nine Anglophone North School District students in the Campbellton and Dalhousie area were recognized for their academic accomplishments by being presented with the Turnaround Achievement  Award for 2014. The Awards Dinner was held at the Campbellton Civic Centre. To see photos of the recipients visit Turnaround Awards. Similar ceremonies for schools in other parts of ASD-N will be held later in May.

Anglophone North School District recently recognized community support for education with the Celebrate the Spirit Award.  This award, first started in the former School District 15, selects one or more individuals from the community to be recognized and honoured for their contribution to education. Recipients, who by virtue of their mere presence in our schools, enhance the positive and enthusiastic culture that makes Anglophone North School District a great place in which to educate children.
